Gala: The Golden Years

 Dear Friends,

“¡Gracias!” “Thank you!” “¡Que Dios se los pague!” These are the words spoken in gratitude by our Residents and their Families as they acknowledge the generosity, love and compassion shown by the communities that surround us.  In this same spirit of gratitude, I would like to invite you to our upcoming Gala event to be held on Thursday, September 06, 2018 at the Memorial Event Center in Edinburg.

San Juan Nursing Home, SJNH is a not-for-profit faith-based organization offering long term skilled nursing care primarily to Hidalgo County residents.   Our primary population is below poverty level and dependent on state and federal funds for their medical needs.  On average, 95% of our funding is regulated by the reimbursement rates of Medicaid and Medicare.  This being said, we are at a disadvantage for operating at optimum level.  Our staff works very hard to meet our resident’s needs in an individual and timely manner, to a quality standard that seeks to improve their overall wellbeing.  We truly believe that it is never too late to improve the physical, mental, social, and spiritual quality of life.   Our goal through this event is to raise funds to replace much needed furnishings and equipment to better accommodate our resident’s needs.

On behalf of our residents and their families, our staff and our board members, I invite you to consider participating in this year's Gala event.  Please feel free to share this opportunity with your family, friends and/or your business contacts.  Table sponsorships are available starting at $1,500 and individual tickets are also available for a $100 donation.  Please know that no donation is too small.  We are most grateful for every gift received.

Sponsors will receive marketing benefits through our event program, our website, Diocesan Newspaper as well as our newsletters.  If you would like for us to come by for the check, we would be happy to do so.  Please contact Nelly Dominguez or Fina Suarez at (956) 787.1771 in order to take advantage of this service.

For the gift that you are and the hope that you bring, I pray that our Loving God will bless you and your family abundantly.
